A new version will be out this week, with a video portal and the possibility to delete videos (among all other new features)
2) We are working on it, but this is not easy: ScreenToaster doesn't use a standard compression system, that's why the quality is good, but the drawback is that it is not possible to convert it to another codec.
But we will definitively add a way to export videos to YouTube and local export in swf.
The syncing issue will soon be solved, as well as the streaming issue when there is sound (like on your video).

Best regards,
Marco

Re: Google Maps add Location EDIT

Hi Marco - I tried again with Apture using (again) the embed code from ScreenToaster. Obviously this is a query I should take up with Apture, but thanks a lot for the advice.

While you're here could I ask a few quick questions?
1) Is it possible to delete screencasts you've uploaded to ScreenToaster?
2) Can you offer a download link so I can redistribute over other Flash video sites like YouTube, Viddler etc.

I really liked production quality from ScreenToaster (albeit some slight a/v syncing issues) over other downloadable screencasting software like Jing. Would like to use it more often, but would ideally want to redistribute it more easily across a greater network. For this feature I would accept a short 'recorded with ScreenToaster' blurb at the beginning or end of my screencast (ideally at the end with a smart fade in/out).

Yes, I could go about downloading the flash/SWF content myself and converting it - but this is a pain. If you offered an MP4 download people would more likely return to use your service.

Thanks again! :¬D

Re: Google Maps add Location EDIT

Hi Jake,

I am from ScreenToaster and I had a look on your fullscreen problem.

Of course we allow fullscreen in embeds !

It seems the use of Apture caused the problem. It has removed the 'allowfullscreen="true"' parameter on the Embed tag, which allow the Flash player to enter fullscreen mode.
Perhaps you have to specify to Apture to allow fullscreen mode for the embedded movies or you can use the embedded code from Screentoaster.

Best regards,
Marco

PS: nice video

Re: Google Maps add Location EDIT

I think it might be a Flash version problem. I updated to v10 the other week and I do get a few inconsistencies here and there on some web pages. Out of interest which version are you using?

Re: Google Maps add Location EDIT

It can be viewed fullscreen (even when embedded). I dont understand your point.
You just need to point your mouse on the video then click on the "full screen view", the rectangle at right.
